STOP listening to them…
I’ve seen people miss out on opportunities and put themselves in worse positions because they don’t make decisions for themselves. This is something I feel VERY strongly about.
Why? Because I care for my clients and want the best for them.
At some point you have to block out the noise. Stop listening to friends. Stop listening to your cousin. Stop listening to your sister. Chances are they don’t know much about buying a home. They aren’t on your title, they aren’t on your loan…and Aunt Terri in North Dakota probably doesn’t know much about buying patterns around Los Angeles right now.
I’m not usually this blunt, but this is the hard truth…
And if you want to listen to them, understand it’s just THEIR OPINION…nothing more, nothing less.
WHAT TO DO – take in the advice, opinions, research and information shared with you from your professionals: Realtor, lender and home inspectors. Go with the decision you feel best about. Talk with your spouse or other decision makers in the buying or selling process.
It’s easy for clients to experience ‘paralysis by analysis’ when taking in too much information from various sources…and during that period, the deal is gone, or worse yet – the decision to purchase is put on the back burner due to stress.
Unfortunately in the 6…12….18 months that pass, that value of homes have gone up 15% and that person can’t afford what they wanted.
