Don’t settle for poor marketing. Nothing makes me more upset than marketing pictures taken with a phone. I can’t believe how common this is. A client is paying thousands of dollars to have a Realtor sell their home. Have a professional photographer take photos. End of story!
It’s true. Commissions are not fixed, and are negotiable between seller and listing agent. I’m pretty sure you can hire someone to simply post your home on the MLS for $500 – $1,000. But then what?
Your Realtor should always make sure you’re protected in this sense – that you have the ability to walk away (at no cost), or investigate the issues further and negotiate a credit for the work that needs to be done.
